Linguistics Position at William Paterson University

While the advertisement may emphasize African-American and Caribbean literatures, note that in fact ANY LINGUIST may apply for the position, regardless of skills in other areas.

Linguists are encouraged to apply AS SOON AS POSSIBLE. Note that the position was advertised in January of 2014. One can probably assume that the committee will be considering applications from February on.

Here is the wording of the advertisement:
William Paterson University seeks applications from candidates with specialization in African-American or Caribbean literatures and/or in linguistics. This position is tenure track.
The successful candidate will teach a variety of undergraduate and graduate courses in African-American or Caribbean literatures and/or in linguistics, as well as offerings in American or Global literatures and in the University Core Curriculum. Ph.D., relevant publications, and teaching experience required. While candidates with combined specializations in linguistics and the relevant literatures are preferred, either specialization will be considered. Background in children’s literature, environmental literature, or ecocritical theory is a plus.
