The House, the damn house

We're buying a house. Did I tell you that? We've managed to get the sellers down to a realistic price, but only by pointing out the manifold problems with said house. Nevertheless, it seems like a good deal.

Did you know that neither Geico nor State Farm will insure a house older than 50 years? State Farm said they would do so for a member, but then went on to explain that even for members, such a house would have to be gutted and entirely renovated before they would consider insuring?

There would be an outcry if they refused to insure a person over 50 years old!
